Their So Cute
The first photo above is of my Granddaughter (Alyssa), then my Grandson Maverick almost 2 years old, and my favorite subjects besides my grandkids are the hummingbirds at the feeder in front of my house. The last two pictures are of Marcus (Maverick's little brother) And a photo of one of the places we visited in Sequoia National Park here in California. I have recently changed my photo web site. I was on Yahoo photos but they closed down this past year. Now you can see more of my photos at http://kq6keddie.smugmug.com/ This is a new site for me and I hope that you enjoy the photos that I've put there. Ham Radio Photos Ok, I know I mentioned that this is a Ham Radio
related site. Well this past April 25 thru April 27, 2008, I went to the International DX
Convention in Visalia, California. This was my fourth time and I am still
quite awed at meeting all the great Dxer's (some of them shown below). I've
also included the Special Event Station (K6V), a shot of Gina - from U.S.
Tower operating K6V,
and especially Ed Andress. W6KUT. Ed is with the San Diego DX Club and was
the only operator to claim 387 entities worked. Now that is a real
accomplishment. I have 160 entities claimed and that makes it a long way to
go. As he mentioned to me "you just have to be old to work that many
entities." He is truly a star among stars. There is also a photo of Phineas
Icenbice, W6BF and his XYl. Also in this photo is Fried and Sandy Heyn,
WA6WZO and WA6WZN. This was a photo I took during the Banquet on Saturday
night. The speaker for the Banquet was Eric Scace, K3NA the organizer of the
VP6DX dxpedition. Wow, what a talk he gave. When he was done with the talk,
the whole room of DXer's gave the dxpedition a standing ovation. First time
that an ovation has ever been given to a speaker and the group he was
talking about. If you have not
experienced the International DX convention you should consider it in your
plans. Next years will be on April 17-19, 2009, and will be at the Holiday Inn in
Visalia, California. Next years is hosted by the Northern California DX
Club.
